Terms of Service

In short: you keep full ownership of the patterns you design, including for commercial use. We provide the tool. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel any time from inside the app.
By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Plaid Studio ("the Service") is operated by Şahıs Şirketi Önder Gecü (sole proprietorship), Bursa, Türkiye ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@theplaidstudio.com.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. Paddle handles the transaction, applicable sales tax/VAT, and invoicing. Their terms apply to the payment itself.
2. Your account
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
- One person or organisation per account. Do not share credentials.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- We may verify your email address before granting access to certain features.
3. What you get
The Service lets you design seamless textile patterns in your browser and export them as image files. Plans differ in export allowance, maximum resolution, available design engines, and monthly token grant. The plan limits shown on our pricing page are the ones we enforce.
Rendering happens in your browser. This means export quality depends in part on your device and browser; we do not guarantee identical output across all hardware.
4. Ownership of what you create
You own your designs. We claim no ownership over the patterns you create or export, and you may use them commercially — including selling products made from them — on any paid plan and on the free plan.
You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the Service: to store your designs so you can return to them, and to generate preview thumbnails inside your own account.
If you use the "Share & Earn" feature, you additionally and voluntarily allow us to host the specific preview image you chose to share at a public link, so that the platform you shared it on can display it. You can ask us to remove any shared image at any time.
We retain ownership of the Service itself: the software, the design engines, the motif libraries we supply, and our branding.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- attempt to bypass plan limits, export metering, or payment;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service itself (as opposed to your own designs);
- upload content you have no right to use, or content that is unlawful;
- abuse referral rewards through fake accounts, automated clicks, or similar schemes;
- disrupt the Service or attempt to access other users' data.
We may suspend or terminate an account that does these things. Where the breach is not serious, we will normally contact you first.
6. Tokens and allowances
Tokens are a prepaid unit used inside the Service to generate designs. They are not money, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash.
- Monthly plan tokens are granted at the start of each billing period and do not carry over to the next period.
- Purchased token packs are added to your balance and do not expire while your account is open.
- Referral rewards are granted under the rules shown in the app and are subject to the caps described there.
Export allowances are counted per billing month and reset with each period.
7. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Billing & Tokens inside the app, or by emailing us.
When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then reverts to the free plan. We do not delete your saved designs when a subscription ends, though free-plan limits will apply.

8. Price and plan changes
We may change prices or plan contents. If a change affects the plan you are on, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before it applies to your renewal, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your work.
10. Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
11. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app. We may terminate for a material breach of these terms, or if required by law. On termination, unused tokens and allowances lapse; any refund due is handled under the Refund Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days in advance. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
